JP Ryans Vancouver Hurling & Camogie Club. Originally founded in 2008 under the umbrella of the ISSC but changing its name in 2011 to JP Ryans in memory of one of the GAA’s founding members ,Joseph P Ryan, who emigrated to Canada. JP Ryans stands as Vancouvers first hurling club, and we continue to promote and support Irish culture and sporting events in Vancouver and Canada. Since 2008 we have grown significantly, and in 2024 we introduced a Camogie team for the first time. JP Ryans have been lucky enough to compete in all competitions across Canada and the US winning multiple USGAA titles from Junior to Senior Hurling Champions 2019. We are the inaugural Canadian National Senior and Intermediate Hurling Champions (2022), along with multiple Vancouver Hurling championships across all levels including 4 Vancouver Senior Hurling Championship.
